Die-Cut Stickers

Die-cut stickers follow the outline of your artwork instead of a stock shape, so a cutting form is made from the die-line you supply. Draw it as a single closed path on its own layer named Dieline, in a 100 percent spot colour set to overprint, and keep the outline reasonably simple: tight internal corners and thin necks tear when the waste is weeded off the sheet. Leave 3 mm between the artwork edge and the cut, and at least 2 mm between one sticker and the next so there is a usable weeding gap. Kiss-cutting cuts the face material only and leaves the backing whole, which is what most people want for sheets and singles; through-cutting separates the sticker completely. Materials run from art paper sticker to matt and gloss PP, clear BOPP and vinyl. On clear film, colours need a white underbase or the surface below shows through.
