Foam Boards

Foam board prints are mounted onto PVC foam sheet, known locally as KT board or Chevron board, in 3 mm, 5 mm and 10 mm thicknesses. The image is either printed on self-adhesive vinyl or photo paper and cold laminated to the sheet, or printed direct to board on a flatbed. 3 mm suits A2 and A1 counter signs; 5 mm is the usual pick for A0 and above; 10 mm is used where the panel stands on its own or takes a cut shape. The board is light, but the foam core chips if an edge is knocked, so keep artwork 10 mm inside the cut line and expect a white core to show at every cut edge unless it is taped. Contour cutting to a shape is possible: supply the cut path as a separate vector layer. Standoffs, easel backs and hook slots are added after cutting.
