Letterheads print on A4, 210 x 297 mm, on uncoated woodfree stock so the sheet takes ballpoint, laser and inkjet overprinting without smearing. 80 gsm and 100 gsm suit day-to-day correspondence, while 120 gsm is the usual pick for quotations, contracts and letters that go out to clients. Laid and textured stocks are available where a heavier feel is wanted, and continuation sheets are normally printed logo-only to match the first page. Printing is one or two spot colours or full CMYK; heavy solid backgrounds are best avoided, because office toner does not fuse well over dense ink coverage. Leave the centre of the sheet clear for body text and keep printed elements at least 5 mm inside the trim. If the design runs off the edge, supply 3 mm bleed on all four sides; with a plain white margin we can print onto pre-cut A4 sheets instead.
